I’m 43 years old, dad to the best kid in the world, and husband to the most awesome woman. My wife and I have been married seventeen years and our son is fourteen years old. We are very much into family activities which range from playing board games to hiking in the hills geocaching.

I coach my son’s soccer team, referee youth soccer, and am one of my son’s adult Scout Leaders. I also am an Assistant Administrator for a great Dad’s forum, DaddyPlace. I do these things for my son and for my community.

I was recently diagnosed diabetic type 2, but have taken that in stride, using it to motivate my already moving efforts at a better lifestyle. I am more active and feeling better already.

I don’t preach to others, but am strong in my faith. I belong to the Episcopal Church, St. Paul’s, in Sparks, Nevada. God gave us a wonderful world and it’s up to us to make the best of it.

I was  in the power production field for twenty years, starting with Naval Nuclear Power as a Machinist Mate (mechanical operator), then after leaving the navy I went to work as a plant operator and then supervisor of a geothermal power facility. Now I work for the state as a Computer Facility Technician in the central computer facility, taking care of all the mechanical support systems for the facility.
